FJ centreboard

hi,
I'm planning to make a glass/foamcore centreboard for a FJ sailing dinghy.
What kind of core is best for this? pvc or PU foam?
and the lay up, how many layers of wich glass do I need?
I was thinking of 2 times 300 grams UD, followed by 2 layers plain weave 300 grams, and one layer of 160 for finish, is this strong enough?

Johannes
