fiberglass layup on foam core 40' cat?

I'm looking at a 40' simpson cat that was homebuilt. Boat was originally designed for chined/ply constructioned but was switched to epoxy foam core. Hulls are 3/4" corecell, deck 1" corecell. Glass layup is 28oz triax/ +18oz biax on outside(40oz total), and 28oz triax on the inside. Would this be considered a "normal" layup for this size boat? I'm looking for a strong boat but not a heavy one.
