My comment was based on a misunderstanding! I thought the OP asked for a weight estimation for a glass layup. But he asked for the Parabeam panel. My fault. Though my reply was valid of course.

For weight estimates, In my limited experience I just get a square foot of core material and glass it both sides. I then weigh it to get a rough idea of what the hulls will end up at.

For my needs, 1 layer of 10 oz glass on the outside and on the inside is sufficient. I do tape or overlap the centerline/ keel for some extra strength.

Please do not get my comment wrong!

My weight calculation is valid for a solid GRP layup! Core material behaves quite different, therefore your test method is by far the better method. And it includes any uncertain figures related to skill levels!
