Errrrr......Hmmmm, dealing with pinholes in fairing compound

What is the best way of dealing with pinholes in faired compound? I know if you have prepaired it properly there should be minimal, so obviously we haven't, but is there an easy way?

Compound is microlite 410.
Thanks

Only mix a small quantity at a time and apply when wet. Do not try to fill a deep area all at one time and when the filler starts to set do not try to use it. To fix the pin holes the pros use a glazing putty, put since I usually don't have the money for a bunch of different fillers I go back over the pin holes with very fresh filler, and I have also had good results with a top brushing of epoxy. Sanding is fun isn't it!?

Work only in one direction, apply light pressure.

Don't worry about them till the end ie before painting. (more pinholes mean less surface area, means less work sanding!)

Just fair and then screed on a 'wet' mix using a flexible blade. This will fill the holes without changing fairness as you are only applying mix in the holes.

Screed it 2x, 90 degree to each screed. ie apply filler, screed it off lightly, screed at 90degree again. Do next area. Keep mix wet by only mixing small amounts.

You'll have to keep mixing up filler as the screeding over surface will pull out resin from mix and it will get drier and drier. Don't worry about this. It will fill all the pores on surface and leave you fine surface to paint onto.
