dry inside panel face with infusion

When making test panels with infusion I have consistently found the last layer of the laminate stack to be somewhat dry or light in resin. The last layer of the laminate is the one upon which the peel ply rests. For instance:

mold
fiberglass
fiberglass
kevlar
kevlar
peel ply
flow medium
vacuum bag

When the outside of the cured test panel (the smoooth finish side) is struck with a scratch awl or hammer, the inside layer will delaminate somewhat if it is too dry. If it is wet out properly it will lift only slightly in at the point of attack.

I tried stacking continuous strand veil on the last layer to aid it wetting it out and it helped but the CSV was somewhat dry.

Has anyone dealt with this problem?

dry glass

This is normal, try reducing the vacuum closer to 25 inches. This will reduce your glass content a bit.
