Thats not the 1st time i`ve heard the keel band mentioned mate but that seems to be one of the few things that needs no attention!

Thats the sort of thing i had in mind but have read that the foam also bonds the hull and deck together and therefore extremely difficult to seperate, without damage to one or the other. If needs be, i`m prepared to sacrifice the deck because it could do with modification to suit my needs.As far as hull /deck seperation goes,is there a method or do i make it up as i go??

That totally depends on the construction. Best would be a straight flange, one can stick an angle grinder with diamond blad right in between. Then hope the foam is bad, and the adhesion of bulkheads is bad as well. (if there are any)

Water logged foam is easy to get rid off, I could scoop it out with my hands, when I took the deck of a boat. (not my boat...). It is just smelly work...

The inner skin goes up over the side then overlaps the hull by around 3 ins. I`ve had a poke around and a pull here and there,It seems well stuck. Something will have give if i continue down that road and i wouldn`t want it to be the hull.Maybe if i make a strategic cut all the way around,at the top,on the inside, to at least give me 2 flat sufaces to part.Sound like a plan??

Could take a few photos but as for getting them to here,i`d have to join a "how to use your computer" forum!! Or i could always ask the kids!!!
As for the plan,where would be the ideal place to make the cut to make the reforming easier? I appreciate its difficult to say exactly without photos but could there be a "usual way"? If you want to pm me with your email for photos,please feel free.
