| Deck and house join material Wondering if someone can help me. I am looking for what material is used to join deck to hull on large sportfishing boats. I know stainless steel, but then most I look at have some type of hard rubber underneath the stainless. Dont know what this is or what is "typical" and strong. Other area is where house or flybridge is attached. This looks sometimes like a strip of wood to me. I dont have any idea what is used here? I dont want wood here. Can stainless be used? What grade of stainless is usually used?? Also is there some type of sealant that goes around the edges of the wood so water doesnt leak? thanks Tamarak |

| Deck/house join material Deck is fiberglass, cored with balsa. House is the same. The hull is solid glass. So it would be glass to glass join. |

| Epoxy and fiberglass should be the easiest way.
