| cowling repair I have a Merc. 2006 -9.9 hp cowling from a childrens camp. Myself and a few other volinteers went in the fall to close up the camp and winterize the rescue boat. Grrrrrr someone had wacked the cowling with a rock or somthing. Really dissapointing. Barely used. Anyway it has a 1inch x 2inch hole in the center on the top. I dont have the piece so I have no material to fill. What is the best way to fix this. I am not even sure what its made of. Plastic ? Thanks very much for helping. |

| If it's fiberglass, which is possible, get an all-pupose fiberglass repair kit from the auto parts store. First patch the inside while the outside is covered by some duct tape. Then sand/prep the outside and patch with JB Weld or some epoxy-based putty. Sand and paint. |
