| Ok guys one last question please I allready primed some spots with the Awl 545 I assume if Imron was used that one would still have to use the Imron primer ? or is it (Imron) compatible with the 545 primer coat. THAAAAAAAAAAAAANKS !! |

| Imron is pretty forgiving.

| Imron topcoat is fine over 545; use it. Awl 545 is a better primer than any of DuPont's primers. Jimbo |

| I've been following along here trying to learn...... Jimbo, you refered to a technique called "guide coating". I've never heard this term. Based on the context I'm thinking that the technique refers to spraying a light coat of black over a lighter color. Once dry one would sand off the light black coat thus insuring that no spots were missed. Am I on the right track here? Thanks for posting! MIA |
