chris craft aquahome HIN location

I'm brand new at this so patience please. am rehabilitating an approximately
1980 chris craft aqua home houseboat. nearly finished. now begining the
paperchase and need to locate the hull identification number. nave not
been able to locate. so my first question is where does the HIN customarily
reside on a vessel of this description?

Hi James, welcome aboard

The HIN is customarily printed on the upper starboard corner of the transom. Sometimes it's an engraved plate, sometimes it's just moulded right into the gelcoat.

If the exterior HIN has been covered or painted over somehow, it's worth poking around the interior of the boat at that same location; sometimes an extra copy of the HIN plaque is hidden in the lazarette, affixed to some structural member.
