Do any of you guys have any specific knowledge of the build issues of which some of the Carrol marine boats are famous for? Over the years we have all heard of large areas of gelcoat flaking off and wet balsa core but I have never actually seen these issues myself.
My interest comes from a customer who is looking at a Farr 40. I believe they used polyester gelcoat with epoxy resin and a balsa core but that's about all I know and even that may be wrong so any help would be appreciated.

    Steve.
