Building hatch covers

Does anyone have suggestions on the best way to build a floor hatch in a 20 foot center console.The floor is 1/2 ply with glass.

yeah measure the biggest size you can get to fit the place you want to fit it . and go find a proper marine hatch that is a cut a hole and screw down in place type . has all the handles, hinges , seals and clips to hold shut etc etc They come in all shapes and sizes and could have a choice of colors as well as long as its white !!
