Building a Composite cab

Check out this stand up cab on this Hobie Power Skiff, http://www.contactscale.com/Examples_Page.html
This was built using an EPS core 4oz e-glass, vacuumed bagged corematt and 4oz e-glass covering. This sight does real high end work.

Looks like the guy bought too small a boat - had to add an extension for the motor, and that cab looks like it was designed for whe nthe boat grows up

Does the boat still exist or did it turn turtle in the first stiff breeze?

The cab only weighs about 75lbs. I take this skiff inter island in 4o knots of wind fishing for tuna all the time, Maui to Molokai.
There are a lot of advantages to having a small boat. I can take both the cab and motor extension off and load them into a shipping container. I dont need a truck to tow it and I can fish all day on two 5gallon tanks.
Aloha

Plus the cab keeps the sun from burning the hell out of you here in Hawaii.
