Boat building and design for begineers

Hi, I'm an engineering student from Turkey, we made a hydrogen racing car before, and now we have a hydrogen boat project. I don't know where I am going to start, I need ur hand so badly! Any documents, or any advice will be very benefical for me..

Well, what are your goals for the boat? What kind of fabrication space/skill and materials do you have open to you?

We plant to use "vacuum infusion" methods for fiberglass.

Is this going to be hydrogen power with an internal combustion engine, or hydrogen powered as in fuel cells and an electric motor? We need some specifics. The type of boat depends on what you are trying to accomplish.

It's going to be a hybrid boat, hydrogen powered as in fuel cells and an electricity battery, 4kW fuel cell and an 48V DC electricity motor. The height of the boat must have dimensions 7 meter to 3 meter. What should I do study to design this boat?

Composite high pressure tanks (+-200bar?) for hydrogen, compressor, power source for electrolycis (if produced on site maybe a windmill and/or solarpanels). Large (volume) hull to house all the gear.
Thats just what comes first to mind..

did you mean 7 meter in length? Anyway I would suggest a canoe body, and a light weight displacement hull. Keep the speed down to hull speed and that will lower the pwoer requirements.
