anti-slip finish

hi does anyone know anything about putting something into the deck mold before the gel coat (like a cloth) to create an anti-slip surface instead of painting anti-slip after the deck is removed from the mold

Yes, you mold whatever texture you want. It is the way almost every boat is built. Take a walk to the closest marina and look. They make rolls of material that you glue to the plug.

Wow - What an impressive bunch of textures! They sure do look pretty, too. Lubber, do any actually work as a nonskid or, like every I've seen, are probably worse than no texture - particularly after a miniscule amount of wear.
