I am new to fiber-glassing and unsure about the adhesive qualities between polyester and epoxy. I was led to believe that because my boat was made from polyester that I should be using polyester and not epoxy. the reasoning was that the 2 do not bond well together, yet most of the forum discussions I have read say to use epoxy.
for anyone who is interested i have my boat restoration project posted on,

    thank you

What I can tell you is, epoxy will stick to poly but poly WILL not stick to epoxy.
