| 20 ft bertram transom replacement hi every1, need some advice on replacing the transom on my 1969 sportsman , read where cutting the outer skin off to rebuild but my transom is very concave question will it work o.k. or do i need to cut the inside..any1 ever did a 20 ft moppie or a sportsman thinking both hull are similar....ty for any help |

| Keep the outside skin if at all possible. I am int he middle of a rebuild of a 22 Aquasport and had to take both skins out and build a mold. There are pictures here: http://209.190.4.227/forum/viewtopic.php?t=11294

| Cut the inside and use a flexible core material. cutting the outside will leave you with lots of extra work finishing. Nida core has worked well for my transom. |
