Trolling controls

I need a product in addition to the standard lever control to set the idle/trolling speed on a 40hp merk. I troll salmon off the coast of California and it would be great to be able to dial a speed/RPM, I will still need to steer as the waters get busy when the bite is hot.. I am not looking for a cruse control but a simple (cheap) electronic device to control speed..
Thanks
Pete

Don't know of any such gizmo. Does your throttle not stay put? There should be a throttle friction adjustment somewhere on or in the control box.
