| MASE patents and semi air cooled genset. MASE small genset use air cooled diesel engines. They are enclosed, including the generator, in a somewhat sealed box. The air intake of the engine is of course, outside this box. The inside of the box, and so the engine, is then cooled by a "MASE intercooler system", a radiator in which flow seawater. The seawater is then discharged in the engine exhaust. This cooling system is claimed to be patented ( http://www.landseapower.com/masecomp.htm ), but I have not been able to find any reference to a patent. Perhaps under another name than MASE. If someone could give me some information on this patent ... Thanks. |

| You could always e-mail them and inquire about their patent. Many electric motors on marine vessels are already cooled by air/sea-water heat exchangers. |
