Generator for catamaran

I am in process of shifting Onan 9kw generator from engine room to bridge where height above LWL is 1500mm. Do I need a extra feed pump for raw water?

Nobody can give you any information based on they details you have provided.

You need the flow rate required through the generator, possibly from their website.

You need the specifications of the pump, which will be in the form of a graph which shows the flow rate in reference to head.

Or get the flow rate required for the gen set.

Then set up a hose up to the 1500mm height required and check the rate of filling up a bucket.

Keep the water hose well above the raw water pump. This ensures that the impeller will not run dry when the generator starts.
Although the pump is self-priming, a dry start with 1.5 m. suction height will rapidly wear the impeller.
