anchor winch motor

Hi,
I need a new motor for my anchorwinch.
It's a Simson & Lawrence Sprint 900.
The Motor seem to be made by Fracmo motors.
My chandlery here in N.Z. told me that the motor for that model is not available any more and that I would need to buy a new gearbox and motor of the next bigger model what would cost a loooot. He of corse made me a special offer on a new one. Has any boddy one of thoose motors sitting in his garage or can tell me if that kind of motor has been used for other purpose
or where I could purchase one for a resonable price ?

Could always find a motor of a similar size and, with a bit of bracket-making at your local machinist, make it fit....
