adding a stereo to my boat i want to add a stereo to my boat but i dont have any means of a charging system, its a 17' grew with a johnson outboard motor, is my only option to have it run off its own 12volt battery and just keep charging it when it dies?

Maybe find some room for a small solar panel. It might be nice to have a perpetually topped off 12V source around (marine radio, cell phone charger, etc) Mike

It'll do the job! Stick to radio and you won't be drawing much currant anyway! Maybe if you move on to the ghetto blaster with CDs lights and twiddly bits your intake will rise but radio no problem! Or get a wind up one!
