Yacht Design Distance Courses

Hello to everyone,
This is my first thread but i've been visiting the site for quite a long time.
I'm a naval architect from Greece and the last 4 years i've been working as a designer in Neorion Shipyards in Greece.
For quite a long time i've been searching for a Master Degree Distance Course with subject on Yacht Design.
I found a course that is taking place in the University of Milan but is being tought in Italian which is a language i can't speak.
I also read a thread in this forum about a distance course being held in the University of Ancona but i searched the site yesterday and found nothing.
If anyone has info about any distance courses taking place in any authoritative University worldwide, I would appreciate it.....

Kalimera kai se sena,
I've checked out the site of Westlawn Institute of Marine Technology before. I must admit that it is an attractive solution, but one of the things that concernes me is that Westlawn grants a diploma to its graduates, not a Degree. So i'm wondering whether this diploma will be accreditated here in Greece and in which level...
Nevertheless Otto i thank you for your reply.

Try Curtin University of Technology here in Australia which runs a degree etc courses online in naval architecture. Their website is www.cmst.curtin.edu.au

Well Joz, first of all thank you for your reply.
I've checked out Curtin's Website. All courses that were mentioned in it (especially the "Small Craft Design") don't have an online version.
I will keep looking because the topic interests me a lot....
Thanks again pal...

Ya sou, apkalogerakis, I found sth, try this site:\

http://www.iedmaster.it/en/schools/s...FSUagQodZ39uRA

it's in Venice and in English. You can ask for more info thru the site.

By the way, do you know where can I find workshops, courses, etc on boat and Yacht design, but in Greece, Athens preferrably?

Anyhow, good luck!

Dear Seng,
Thank you for your reply.
I think that yacht design in Greece is in embryonic stadium. So i think even if you search...you won't be lucky my friend....

By the way,
Seng, about the link you mentioned.
This course would be a perfecti solution but unfortunatelly it has a full time attendance....so it is out of question, because of my job.
Not to mention the fee...14000 euros total are quite a lot of money, don't you agree???

Well, it is quite a bit...
Anyhow, do you know a good sailing school in Athens, one that has cruising and race courses as well as dinghy sailing?
If I have anything new for you, I'll post it down.
CYA and thank you!
