If you take your alcohol out of a glass container, it's a yacht, if it comes from a carton or can, it's a boat . . .

If you can walk into the cabin with two Playboy mates by your sides, it's a yacht.
If you can enter inside only by moving sideways like a crab, it's a boat.

A generalization of the above:

If there are a bunch of Playboy mates suntanning at the upper deck, it's a yacht.
If there are only a couple of unshaved fishing mates guzzling beer and burping on the one and only deck you have - it's a boat.
