Small Craft/ Yacht Design/ etc. Graduate/Masters

Hello,

I was wondering if anyone could give me any information about the grad programs at unsw, utas, newcastle or any other schools offering this type of degree (not incl southampton as I've been able to find enough about them). Their websites always seem to be rather difficult to navigate and I wind up going in circles. My interest is in sailing yacht, particularly racing, design. Location isn't an issue though I'd like to be able to understand the language...

How do any of these other programs stack up to southampton's small craft/yd?

Thanks!

-Soundsail

Utas

I can reply about UTAS ( Australian Maritme Collage) Although it provides a good Naval Arch. course it does not promote yacht design at all during the first three years. In your final year you can select yacht design as an elective.

here is the link: www.amc.edu.au

I don't kno about Newcastle but here's their link: https://www.tafensw.edu.au/howex/ser...&CourseNo=9272

Does the US have any maritime colleges?

The links are in Australia. Isn't there one in the US that I can investigate?

I studied BEng Naval Arch. at Newcastle and i know they have a Small Craft Course for BEng and MEng.

http://www.ncl.ac.uk/marine/

thats the website giving info about the course types and lectures...

What I heard from many people and also my opinion is that Southampton is the best for small craft design and Naval Arch. is better at Newcastle Uni..
