    The loftsman,
I like doing stuff myself if for no other reason then personal satisfaction ,but sometime I do need help and release that ...lol

    Mikejohns,
not sure I would say hand drawings are a pain but lofting them sure was, The single biggest advantage in my mind of computers design software is the fact you can blow the hull apart and make individual part which can be nest and made into cut files .

I have tried several so far maxsurf13 seems to be the easiest for me at least for the main hull shell . I am having troubles with the addition of new surfaces as the version I have only has a very basic library and I haven't figured out how to create new surfaces freehand yet

    TANSL
I tried sending you a avi file twice yesterday but your emails are come back again

Most of the higher end NA software. You can define a basic hull and then transform it parametrically to the desired coefficients. For example here's a Maxsurf Pro screenshot.

I've never tried Freeship or Delftship but they may have some automatic hull generators too ?

After pencil and paper methods the computer is unapproachable in accuracy and speed and it really simplifies the design spiral.

    Thanks, Mike.
For a moment I thought "automatic hull generation" meant that you just
asked for a starting hull with desired coefficients and the program magically
gave you the hull. I couldn't see how that could be done reliably.

Delftship has "Lackenby transformations" for the sort of manipulation you described.
