this is one good site to download books of naval architecture but instead of giving direct download link they provide download link from other shearing site e.g. rapidshare,hotfile
etc.

Tuppers Introduction to Naval Architecture is a Reader's Digest version of the 3 volume Principles of Naval Architecture. It is good and (cheap) should give you a head start. So far, I have not seen any typo errors on it.

Ship Construction by Eyres? It is a good book. I think you can order it from Amazon.com

Try googling professional boatbuilders - they give free e-copy & hardcopy to those who are eligible. Though I highly recommend 'spending few bucks and get the latest info'.
