Books

As an engineering student I naturally felt the urge to build something.

I'm currently looking reading this forum (you all are full of lots of helpful stuff, thanks for the pointers you didn't know you gave me) and a few books.

Building Strip-Planked Boats by Nick Schade
Boatowner's Mechanical and Electrical Manual

any other suggestions on the boat oriented books?

Im looking for engine oriented books at this point, but this should be a good place to make a list of good books.

Thanks for the responses, and sorry for the poor wording/grammar in the original post.

I went out and bought Dave Gerr's Elements of Boat Strength. Which I find to be informative. I will buy his Mechanical Systems Handbook soon.

I also bought Basic Ship Theory Vol.1&2. Ill let you know what I think once the binding is cracked.

Take a look at my links page http://newboatbuilders.com/pages/links.html About half way down the page are books of interest to builders and designers, and there is a longer list at the bottom of the page.
