boatbuilding freshman

Hello,

I'm interested in taking a year off of college and beginning my education in boatbuilding. To be perfectly honest, I have absolutely no experience in boatbuilding other than a serious interest in it.
Does anyone have any suggestions on schools that are good for novices or a good path to breaking into 'the biz?'

Thanks very much,
Bethany Fisher
