Weedeater EDGER

I've seen alot of discussion about String Trimmers for trollinmg motors. What about a gas Edger? (I picked up one for $10 and got it running). That other thread was tooo many pages to go thru.

Sometimes you just have to do the reading. We can't start the whole discussion over again from page one. Suggest you troll through the other thread.

Wasn't asking to start the whole discussion over again.
I was asking - has anyone used an Edger instead of a string trimmer for an engine to power a boat?
Is that so hard to answer?

I reckon its been done. Weedeater is the name of the thread but edgers and other small engines(some not so small) have been utilized.

It all depends on how much of the edger you want to use. The power head will work just fine, the shaft might too, but I don't know what the gear box at the bottom looks like.

Those Ryobi systems that have interchangeable attachments work really well because they are easily shortened and the gear box is easy to reattach.

Post a pic of the edger you want to use.

Erich
