HEI Distributor - Coil on Cap

I have this distributor on my 350 Mercruiser engines. What can I do to make this a safe part to use?

Use the coil cover and RTV all the gaps. Make sure you use the heat sink compound on the module. Use really good spark plug wires. Carry a spare and all the dinky little tools to change it. Expect spark fade above 4000rpms.
