I just bought a brand new boat with Yanmar 240 HP in it

Having trouble finding Fuel Filters Yanmar/Racor Part # 4412-012

The Model # on the Engine tag is RCD6LY2x1

It also have a second metal tag that has 4LHA-STP

Cant find a Service manual anywhere. would you know about them?

where are the zincs?

My boat has a garden hose fitting to do fresh water flushes after using in salt

Pictures?

Any of you folks have a good source?

Have you tried asking the dealer or builder?

Funny how that works, I just sold a 44 ft commercial boat and was shoping for a toy and bought this 24 ft center console. One Never knows that maybe that same customer with ripped up overalls and a sweatshirt may be in the market for a 100 fter one day. I have seen it happen when I owned a boat dealership. Treat EVERY Customer like its your Best one or they may be your Last One.

Then yesterday I went to Great Bay Marina in Newington, NH and the arrogant bastard that owns the place tells me that he cant find a filter with a bad number like I gave him. He Claims to be a Yanmar Dealer, at least he has a sign out front.

I cgave him the Yanmar/Racor Part # 4412-012 which is the spin on metal filter canister that goes on Yanmar/Racor Fuel Water Seperator unit #4412

Not all that difficult,

Any Wholesalers out there who want a new account?

I always thought American's were good on service! I sympathise, I worked in yacht brokerage/service for a few years and made sure the sellers paid for a good clean up and service before we offered it, it made a lot of difference to our sales and we nearly always took them out in it for a demonstration and familiarisation. Some places are worse than cheap car dealers!

You could try the Yanmar importers or an auto/truck outlet that may be able to match the number.

Location: Conn in summers , Ortona FL in winter , with big dock & room for O'nite stop .
Simply go to NAPA and ask to look thru their big FRAM filter book.

Almost every filter is in there , by cross reference number.

Should that NOT work , take out the filter and measaure it.

All filters are also in the Fram book by size and shape and fittings..

Raycor may have a site with its own crossover info too.
