Location: Conn in summers , Ortona FL in winter , with big dock & room for O'nite stop .
Aluminum pipe (marine grade) will work fine . Dave Geer gives a complete list of pipe size vs heat rejection in his book.

The other process is an aluminum box welded into the hull with a laberinth to send the coolant back and forth in contact with the sea .

Big advantages of this system is no winterizing , no drag and the stock coolant pump is far more reliable than rubber impeller pumps.
