Windesign 4.0

Hello guys,
I'm searching for someone that can give me information about the new release of Wolfson Unit VPP/LPP 4.0 software.
I asked for a demo of the program to the Wolfson Unit, but they haven't. So, before to spend about 2200 € I prefer to know if someone of you can write some comments about and give me some skills. I know the last issues and want to know if the sum that I'm going to pay is "risk free" and the sotware has nice updates in the new release.
If someone has a demo version to try, please advise.

Bye

I know

Yes Hello,
I know the program is very interesting as I know the past issue. But Think that the version 4.0 will be better, so I am seraching for an evaluating version to understand if it's the case to spend a lot of money for buy the program from the wolfson unit.
If you want let's try to search a demo or others of the 4.0 and let me know.

ciao.

I have used version 4 last year (for own project 6 months) and know some people that are using it. It has the capability to model canting keel yachts and a large number of appendages. However using it for high performance yacht (large Righting Moment in particular) proved too much (and still is a problem). FOr my project i had to switch back to the version 3.
So for conventionnal yachts, it is a very good tool and offer much more than version 3. But not yet more advanced ones.

well nico

dear Nico,
thank you for your informations.
Well, I am searching for a demo of the program in order to evaluate it. If you know someone who have the program, I will appreciate if you can send it to me; the program work with a dongle, but I can evaluate it also without the dongle and than understand if is the case to buy it.
If you can send a copy (via mail as the program is not big...) of the program (demo or original without dongle) I will take a look at the release 4.0.

Ciao,
A.
