Using 3dBoat Design software on a Mac w/Wine

So I scanned through the old posts and I do mean OLD posts regarding Mac's and boat design software. Pretty dismal. But then I discovered 3D Boat Design which is a pretty inexpensive software that looks like I might be able to learn it before I turn 60. But I have a Mac. Then there was an FAQ regarding some folks successfully using this on a Mac using Wine.

Are any of you folks out there? I'd like to give it a try but I'm not sure I'm savvy enough to venture into this world of not only CAD but trying to run it using Wine.

I know about the Parallels and Windows compatibility that is usually mentioned but had not heard about doing it with something like Wine.

Hope you can help. Thanks.

3 D boat design is a rip off of the open source Free!Ship. Free!Ship is free from SourceForge. Don't pay for the same program. There have been a number of threads about this here is one: At it again (or still)

Thanks for the heads up! Not something I want to be a part of. But as to Part 2 of my query. Can Free Ship be used on a Mac via Wine?

TouchCAD is cross platform and works natively on both Mac and Windows.
