TurboCAD v15 deluxe

Can anybody please guide me in the right direction how to draw a basic wireframe dinghy hull. I have been struggleling now for so long that i am starting to think that the TurboCAD cant do it. I have been thru the v14 Reference Manual, the new v15 2D and 3DTraining guides, as well as the new PDF User Guide = 8.22 MB = 1036 pages. I have requested assistance ticket no ID 12421-6411061035 and have posted a request on the forum under v15 = boat hulls. Included was the same little drawing i include here. Drawing a hard chine line to form a "v" hull, even as two flat panels seems a major task.

I am starting to think that TurboCAD v15 deluxe are making claims that cannot be substanciated, drawing a poly line or a spline (page 729) wont work, drawing a 3D mesh is a bit of a joke but if that is the only way can somebody please tell me so, maybe this is a tool for house plans and not much more?

Not sure i gave up on it long time ago, but i think TurboCAD deluxe does not have the tools that you may need to do such, you can do all the wireframe that you need but the "surfaces" are meshes and the tools to work with these are not there

Yep they have done this for sometime now, the Pro version is great it has all the tools but IMO they never polished the software itself so they just added and added stuff to it without improving the overall product, kinda like Alibre is doing.

There are a lot of users and works for some but going back to what you want to do you need to upgrade to Turbocad Pro or IMO just get ViaCAD.

I just downloaded freeship /Delftship 3.2.
When you open it up can put a few basic details in and get your basic structure.
Then export to dxf 3D and open in TurboCad ( mine is v14 deluxe)and its there?
I dont know if this is of any help as in drawing software I am a beginner.

I am learning Powershape-E at present and i think it would probably be the best way to go in the long run

problem is that if you could import the dwg or dxf you cant work on it, excepting if you continiously change the work plane which is a PAIN

the software simply does not know where the line is
eg. bulkheads or sheer lines, the point or line is simply lost somewhere in space

TurboCAD V15 is really good for 2D
i find it fast and easy
also to measure lenghts and surface areas
it cant develop = unfold
