TouchCAD

I have been using ProChine (excelent for shaping and fairing of the basic hull) for a while and have been looking for another program to draw all internal / superstructure components and do the final detailing.
ARL Shipconstructor "Structure 1" was on top of the shopping list when i accidently came accross a link to TouchCAD.
It looks very impressive at a very good price.

Any comment would be greatly appreciated.

TouchCAD allows you to do much more than the basic hull fairing, generating the lines and calculating the basic marine properties.

It also allows you to model most of the main panels and internal structures, calculate the weight, surface area, and center of gravity (individual weight per area unit / weight point for each panel), generate the offsets, provide realtime OpenGL based flyovers, walk throughs and dynamic cut-troughs.

The built in unfolding engine is also highly parametric and it is dynamically linked to the 3D mode, which means that any changes done in 3D can instantly be seen in the Unfold view. You can also do basic nesting in the unfold view to make sure that everything fits into the given material dimensions. Each panel has its own unfolding property that allows you to change unfolding direction, resolution, calculate stretch unfolds with tension analyses, add overlaps, alignment marks, folding lines, panel and point numbers, automatic coordinates (individual for the joint and overlaps), pen and/or fill color, etc.

I have included some screen dumps.
