Table of offsets from Rhino

Does anyone know how I can get table of offsets from Rhino surface model. Exactly, I want to make some *.gf file from Rhino for Autohydro calculations.

Cut stations, etc., and then pick the offsets from them by hand. Rhino on its own has no way of doing it. Many specific boat design packages will give offsets (although none that I have seen yet will define the ends properly, just the sections), but then you are talking about more $$

You could always get the Rhinoffsets add-on from http://www.basline.com/

This will not create an offset table but it will create a correct GHS file to open on Autoship or GHS.

If you are not in a hurry, you can download Archimedes and figure it out how it works:
http://www.naval-architecture.co.uk/...edes/index.asp

Export your model from rhino using the Rhino GHS export Plug-in and open it on Archimedes and use the offset editor inside Archimedes to "Fix" any mistakes created during the translation, export the model as a GHS file, and use deadweight for quick check on how correct is the final file.

Is not as simple as it sounds but once you have this running you are never going to have any problems creating .gf files.

AutoCAD and IntelliCAD has some nice features for this. Export the sections with a grid to dwg or dxf. Open in IntelliCAD and use the command "ID" to get the coordinates when you snap to an intersection between a section curve and the grid lines. Then copy paste from the text window to excel or similar and remove all the extra text. This can of course be automated with lisp or vba, maybe also by some scripting in Rhino, but I find it easier to automate IntelliCAD.

Right... There is an easy way... generate one point. Replicate this point in a rectangular array using the "Array" function. Now project all the points to the surface, et voila! you can just save the points.

For the ends, you'll have to use "point from u,v coordinates" and select the end-most points.
