surface edge problem Hi I am trying to create chine plates as individual surfaces in Rhino from an imported 3d lines plan. I have duplicated the each chine line to use one for the upper edge of one plate and the other for lower edge of the adjacent plate. I an using the edge surface command and the surface produced looks fine when viewed on it's own. The problem is that despite using the same curve to produce the connecting edges there are still gaps between the chine plates. Thanks

Could be a rendering problem. Adjust your mesh settings.

Pavel915. I have joined the surfaces for the sake of appearance and saved as a different drawing but ideally I wanted to keep the surfaces seperate so I could un-roll the developed plates. Martijn_vE What settings would you think appropriate to try. I tried a few but no real effect on the edges. Thanks for the reply's

It happens often with other 3D software, like Solidworks or UGS. You'll have to play a little bit with parameters of the sweep function (or whatever function you've used for creating your surface). Try changing the degree of accuracy, conditions of tangency, sweep direction.
