Software for submarine Design & stability

hi everyone :

i'm working on submarine design & simple hydrostatics.
i'v tried to use Autohydro to calculate the hydrostatic data, but it fails to perform the underwater stability .
i need a program to help me with this please .

also,i need a program to help me with submarine design .

i will be very gratefull if any body can help me .

What is it you are tryin to do exactly that Autohydro cannot do?

I would be surprised if there is not something you can make work with it.

Hi Bassoom,

You might be interested in taking a look at Paramarine (http://www.grc-ltd.co.uk). It has specific modules for addressing submarine design and stability. Sub stability seems to be quite different from surface ships.

the proplem that Autohydo can't deal with the submarine when it's under the water, it was only designed for floating structures.

do you suggest any another program (simple, reachable & free)

Hi there,

Marcus is absolutely correct. Paramarine is very very good at submarine design and stability and their website has a lot of material to support this but of course is expensive.

Let us know exactly what it is you are trying to do. If you only need cross curves (movements in TCB for angles of inclination) for a submerged body then my wee application should be able to handle this. It doesn't cost much and a basic version is free. Even if this is a problem and you are a hobby user or its Uni/Research then drop me a private line and I can send you a free unlock code.

Hi. I too is working on a submarine project. It is still in the conceptual stage. Its going to be for commercial application, underwater sightseeing, depth of about 25 to 50 feet. Lots of viewing glass.

Im about to buy SNAME's Submersible Vehicle Systems Design.

I would appreciate any software design, website, or good book that i can be led into.
