The layout of this website looks alarmingly familiar.
So what are they selling, software or boat plans?
No screenshots of the software to be found.

Looks not very trustworthy.......

Looks sketchy, to me. No evidence of "software", and not much evidence of "plans" either. Just "send me money and I'll send you a CD of drawings and e-books".
There's no way someone could actually recoup the cost of doing over 200 proper designs by selling fifty-dollar CDs, which makes me suspect it's just a compilation of free stuff from around the 'net....

Svensons Free Boat Plans, of course, and some others, available for free since steam power replaced the donkey.

Just another snakeoil salesmen.........

Have you seen the mighty "boatbuilding hammer" the experienced boatbuilder sports so proudly?

You're using the wrong approach guys.

So, what designs? How about some names? Who designed these boats? What about what his name the Denmark builder with 20 years experience, any notable builds in those 2 decades? What are they? How about a list of the designs and the designers? Shouldn't we get a table of contents before the money passes hands?

For what it's worth, the address listed wasn't understandable in a Google net search, nor when entered into Google Earth, which is a fair indication. So, I drop them an email . . .

Their reply;

http://plans4boats.com/doc/preview.pdf

This is a partial list of the designs included on "their" CD. I recognize most of them as public domain and most, if not all are currently available freely on line. So, those of you that would like to pay someone that has compiled them onto a disk, go for it.

He's now on the designs page with a "build" that he did. Looks like a D4 to me my I'm probably wrong.

I sent off another email asking for more details about the plans, regarding resolution, designer names, are they nothing more then scans of magazine pages, etc. I've yet to receive a reply, though they responded within a few hours on the first request for more design information (PDF I posted above). Clearly, when pressed they know enough to tuck tail and run.

Steve, the designs they're selling are available from a number of places on line. It would be nice if someone could compile all the old Rudder Magazine and other publications from the first half of the 20th century. Of course you'd need clean copies of the articles, then scan them. A host of really nice designs, from most of the greats, Herreshoff, Stevens, Bolger, Chapelle, Brewer, Atkins, etc. some, especially those written by the "old man" and Chappy would be of considerable interest. In fact, if I had enough of these old magazines, I'd do the job myself and present them "as is" (well scanned at high res. and cleaned) plus updated with modern material substitutions and techniques. I can hear Chappy now bitching about it being somehow just not right for a Marco Polo in foam core. The old man would be spinning in his grave. Mystic has made an index of the old Rudder "How To" articles, but as yet, no one has packaged them. There are hundreds of them.

Another affiliate marketer flogging junk through Clickbank.com.

Sadly people are buying it.

All clickbank products must have a 60 day money back guarantee so hopefully the people who do fall for the cheezy tool belt with hammer photo and fake testimonials will ask for the refund.
