Softare to design accommodation layout

I am buying a secondhand yacht that I want to convert. I would like to put the base plan on a PC, and then play with layouts to suit my needs before conversion work start. does anyone know of any free design layout software that can do this.
I do not need hull design/sails design - only the accommodation.
any suggestions ?

Thanks

I like to use Rhino for this. (Then again, I like to use Rhino for just about everything, including laying out the furniture in my apartment.) But Rhino does make it very easy to move things around- just leaving a whole lot of cabinet sticking out the side of the hull- while putting 3D crew in there and seeing how they fit.

Virtually any basic 3D CAD program can do this kind of thing. If you don't mind working in 2D then the field opens up to a bunch of freeware.

But for sheer cheapness and simplicity.... it's darned hard to beat a basic printed drawing, a Xerox machine to run off copies to draw on, and a pencil.

If you want to do it in 2d ; then use autocad.
and if you prefer 3d; then definitely Rhino as marshmat said.
