| Propellor Shaft Design Software Is there an software available to aid the design of a suitable propellor shaft system. Say you had a yacht, with a fairly long and slender conventional shaft. For a certain lenght and support conditions, how thick/thin would it need to be to prevent failure under load, vibration, shaft whirl etc? I only ask becuase i am doing a PartC major project on the topic as part of my coarse at university. (Im studying mechical engineering at loughborough). Daniel |
