About props drawing manual

Gary,

all depends on a series of the props. It's the both: profiling of the blade and geometry of blade's edges. It's not simple tutorial about drawing.
If you need the screw just for the showing that a boat have prop(-s) at this place, I can to you present it.
You can edit it, as it will be necessary. A format *.3dm.
This is the props of my last boat from galery.

Dim.

Hi Dim,

Your right I am too old to start studying propeller engineering. I want some nice looking props to go in some models I’m working on. The ones you have are far better than the crude attempts I’ve made so far. It was mentioned on another site that 3D World magazine had a tutorial for a propeller model using Rhino, in a back issue. I haven’t been able to find which issue. My search of the www has come up empty.

It would be easy to use someone else’s model, but I would like to learn how to do it for myself.

Gary,
Sorry, can't think of that tutorial for drawing 3D propellers rite now, might have seen such. but before that i had the same feeling i wanted to learn how to draw props and without beeing a prop techno i found that by using combinations of techniques and modifiers in 3d max you draw propellors you want to kiss -in a few- maybe some more hours. really great looking props i mean and in the end a very satisfying exercise. rhino too must have some pointers i think? got to get the sunny lady home now, southern france is getting to expensive. like to come back on this when that goes on!

And answer to my question is: Issue # 35 on page 68 written by Neil Rennison. Now I just need to find 3D World # 35. I am told the tutorial is for Rhino.

I have a few issues also, the covers are full of clutter but all my copies are marked with the number preceded by the word ISSUE. #35 says NEW YEAR’S REVOLUTION in yellow lettering, and has a robot figure, published in February of 03. I have sent off an inquiry, and waiting for a reply.

So you have survived the heat in France?

They are sorry to inform me it is not available. I have joined the 3D World forum and hoping to get some help there. I will keep this space updated if I find something.

Well I bought a copy of the magazine on ebay. I have also just received the tutorial file from the author. I will ask him if I can attach the file here for others to down load. Or if he would post it on his web site.
