| A Problem in Maxsurf When we import a .dxf file all we get in maxsurf is markers not control points. So cant we import a hull form to Maxsurf? If we know the offsets cant we plot it in maxusrf? I has the offset table for a craft and ploted it in AutoCAD and wanted to do the resistance calculation in Maxsurf but I could not import it. Is there any solution to this? |

| You could read the manual. Sorry to sound rude, but when you drop thousands on a software package, it usually comes with a book that explains this kind of stuff. Generally it's good to make a point of reading that book.

| Maxsurf is a surface modeller. A table of offsets is not a surface. There are tools within the Maxsurf suite to help you manually or automatically create a surface that fits your imported offsets, however you need to do what Marshmat said and read the manual.
