I have principle of yatch design book. It says use cp .56 and lcb -3.4%. But correcting the shape and recalculating cp is hard work.
Thanks again
Designing a good boat isn't simple or easy. It's much more complicated than the design of many mechanical devices.

It takes me less than 5 minutes to calculate Cp using the method I described above.

What requirements lead to those values of Cp and Lcb? How sensitive is meeting the requirements to those parameters? What other parameters or dimensions do you also have requirements for?

The book says not right cp and lcb combinations creates %1-%5*displacement(kg)/100 additional resistance.
Mechanical engineerin is more simple. Yatch design requires very wide range knowledge and experience on both designing and building.
