| new and looking for free software to design my boat hi.i am new here and i want some design programmes to design my own boat...if you can please tell me some of them...thx....CAPTAIN JOHN.  |

| If you wish to build in plywood, Carlson's Hulls is also free, fairly easy to learn and the files from Hulls can be exported to Freeship painlessly or output as .dxf files to a plotter/printer for full sized templates. www.carlsondesign.com |

| For freeship, the older version 2.6 have better abilities for import/ export (IMNSHO) It can be downloaded here (unless you buy a newer version of it): http://www.marin.ntnu.no/havromsteknologi/freeship.html To totally destroy your spare time: http://www.freecad.com/ I also believe that there is a (free) google program out there.. I do not recall it's name nor whereabouts. (Hark... hmm, saw now that the link above in fact was for the 2.6 version...).
