If you have a copy of Rhino. Open the IGES file and then Rhino will write the GF file for you. Command is AttachGF and then export the GF file. It works great. Sometimes you have to clean up the GF file if it is really a complex part, but for the most part it is clean.

If the vessel is symmetrical I usually use half the model and mirror it AttachGF. This will clean up any modeling garbage that is different from port to starboard.

Post the IGES file and I'll see if it will go.

Sorry, both Freeship and Delftship Free export to .gf
But they don't import IGES
You must open the IGES file with Solidworks, Rhino or something (last versions of AutoCAD don't open IGES), export to .wrl and open that file using Delftship Free, then export to .gf
(If you post your IGES here I can try to make your .gf file)

I assumed your IGS file was a surface model rather then sections. I am not aware of an simple way to go directly from sections to GF file which is also sections, but in a particular format. Maybe someone else has a technique they would share.

The long way would be to drape some surfaces on the sections and then have one of the programs mentioned above produce the GF file. It isn't a complicated shape and wouldn't take that long. Have you tried Rhino or Freeship? I believe they all have free demos.

Aboat, I made a roughly .gf file for amjad, seems to be enought for him.
I just opened it using Rhino, cleaned it (the hard job), performed a 3dloft, and exported as .wrl
Then I openeded .wrl file using Delftship free and scaled-moved to a reasonable position. After that, you put all sections that will be needed and make de .gf file.
