Navigation software

I wasn't sure where to put this, but this forum seemed like a good bet...

I am thinking of redoing the nav software for my sailboat and am contemplating switching over to Macenc running on a Mac Mini. Then getting iNavX for my iphone to use as a repeater for the computer. All of this being tied into an existing Raymarine instrument cluster already on the boat. I am wondering if anyone has used these programs before, and if so what your thoughts on them are.
