    Gday

I am interested in some motion analysis software for a Rhino model I have. It has moving parts on it and I want to use software to refine the parts.

I know solidworks has motion analysis. I am happy with Rhino so are there any plug ins or software that does this. Alibre seems to have some capabilities for this - Is this a good bit of kit?

    cheers

if you are looking for wave motion analysis, then Solidworks does not have the capability to do it..

    relative motion of parts

No - not sea motion. What I want to do is to refine the shape of parts that hinge. No design just checking for collisions and touching when parts move relative to one another

    cheers

Msc Adams is the best, but is expensive. Things likesolidworks and NX also do simple stuff.

Catsketcher Bongo the animation plugin for rhino can handle a lot of different movements and constraints.
